Nikol Pashinyan Calls on Armenian Public to Participate in Opposition Rally

Chief editor of the daily Armenian Times, political prisoner Nikol Pashinyan has issued a statement from prison in which he calls on the public to participate in the Armenian National Congress (HAK) rally on Sept. 17 in front of the Matenadaran (Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts).

The statement reads:

“The next Armenian National Congress rally will take place on Sept. 17. I know that many of you are expecting not a usual, but a decisive rally, which will annunciate the end of the oligarchic phase in Armenia’s history. As for how soon that inevitable stage will come, that depends on each individual’s internal decision. Each of us, in our every day lives and work, must realize the victory of a Free and Happy Armenia, staying strong in the name of the idea of fighting positions. This means that each rally is decisive: on Sept. 17 too, citizens of a Free and Happy Armenia, adamant and bright citizens will be present-absent.

“The Armenian National Congress is going along a difficult and conscious path, and that path is going to bring our people to a conscious destination. The road is hard and lucky those who can stand it till the end, because our struggle can’t be diverted; our Victory, inevitable.

“Fight, fight till the end…”
