The 10th summit meeting of Turkish-speaking countries kicked off in Istanbul yesterday. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who was in attendance, met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The meeting was closed to the press, Yeni Safak reports.
Erdogan made a statement after the meeting with a message to Armenia: “The step we made in Aghtamar should not remain unreciprocated. The religious rite on September 19 is an expression of our tolerance. We are expecting the same tolerance.”
