The Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople (Istanbul) has prepared a special report on the spiritual heritage of the country’s Armenian community. The author of the report is Maghakya Ormanyan.
The report notes that from 1913–1914, there were 2,538 Armenian Apostolic churches in Turkey; 451 monasteries; and 2,000 schools, which belonged to Turkey’s Armenian community.
In Turkey today, there are 42 Armenian Apostolic churches, 12 Armenian Catholic churches, 5 Armenian Protestant churches and 16 Armenian schools.
