Uncovering the death of Hrant Dink should be seen as a single entirety: planning the murder, the actual act, and the events that came afterwards. There simply shouldn’t be any expectations for any other version, said Yerevan State University Faculty of Oriental Studies Deputy Dean,Turkologist Ruben Melkonyan, while speaking to journalists in Yerevan today, commenting on recent statements by Hrant Dink’s attorneys.
“According to the attorneys, Turkey’s state bodies — the national security [service], the police, the prosecution — didn’t cooperate with one another; more so, they hid information from each other, which is an essential obstacle in uncovering Hrant Dink’s death,” said Melkonyan.
According to the Turkologist, Dink’s murder will be revealed to the extent it should be for Turkey’s current authorities.
