Detained Opposition Youth Now Released

Less than an hour ago, the Armenian National Congress (HAK) youth — Areg Gevorgyan, Sargis Ghazaryan (Khachatryan), Sargis Gevorgyan and Vahagn Gevorgyan — who were apprehended by police early this morning were released. 

This news was conveyed by HAK leader Levon Ter-Petrossian prior to his speech. 

About 10–15 minutes after this announcement, the youth joined the rest of the rally participants near the Matenadaran (Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts).
