Cultural, Economic Accords to be Signed During Ahmadinejad’s Baku Visit

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s upcoming visit to Baku will help to establish regional peace, security and stability, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Republic Mohammad-Baqer Bahrami (pictured) was quoted by IRNA state agency as saying, reports Trend News.

The visit will also lead to further expansion of ties between the two countries.

Ahmadinejad and his delegation are to visit Azerbaijan November 17-18, ambassador said.

He added that the visit is taking place at the official invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The latest regional and international developments as well as issues of mutual interest and further expansion of Tehran-Baku relations are expected to be discussed by the two presidents.

Ahmadinejad also plans to attend the Caspian Sea summit to be held in Baku on Nov. 18, ambassador said.

According to Bahrami, several documents on bilateral cooperation in various fields including cultural and economic accords are expected to be inked by the two Presidents.

The Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan expressed his satisfaction with the existing friendly relations between the two countries, reiterating that the exchange of visits between Iranian and Azerbaijani officials in the past few months has paved the way for further expansion of bilateral cooperation.
