Either Apologize or Submit Your Resignation: Armenian President’s Office to Yerevan Mayor

Yerevan mayor Gagik Beglaryan has been given time until Monday: he either has to apologize to Protocol Officer Aram Kandayan, member of Armenia’s presidential administration, or submit his resignation, writes local daily Haykakan Jamanak (“Armenian Times”).

Recall that according to local media reports, Beglaryan punched Kandayan in the face the day after the latter asked the Yerevan mayor’s wife to change her seat during the Placido Domingo concert in Yerevan. 

The daily reports that the message from the president’s office to Beglaryan is to apologize not only to Kandayan, but also to the entire protocol office staff.
