On the eve of the third anniversary of the death of Imad Mughniyah, known to have been the head of the military wing of Hezbollah, Israel’s state headquarters for the war on terror issued a warning about possible terror attacks against Israelis.
According to the statement, the following countries pose a threat for Israelis: Egypt, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, the Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire), Mali, Mauritania and Venezuela.
As reported by Kursorinfo, security service officials advised Israelis as much as possible to avoid visiting these countries, as well as other countries with large concentrations of Jewish and Israeli residents. Israelis are also advised to listen carefully to the instructions of security services in these countries.
Recall, Imad Mughniyah was killed on Feb. 12, 2008, in Damascus, Syria, by a car bomb planted inside the driver’s headrest. Hezbollah accused Israel for his assassination; however, Tel Aviv has never assumed responsibility for the act. According to experts, his murder was the result of cooperation among intelligence agencies in several countries.
