An agreement on a simplified visa regime between Georgia and the EU takes effect from March 1, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing today, reports Trend news agency.
The Georgian side welcomes the move, as it is a political statement that the EU remains committed to its principles with regard to Georgia.
“We hope that Georgian citizens will experience benefits, although in the case of any problems, we are ready to give advice or answer your questions,” Kalandadze said.
