“Hello dear colleagues. Today is the holiday of Motherhood and Beauty” is how RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan began his remarks at the start of today’s government session. On the occasion, the PM cited a few lines of poetry by notable Armenian poet Hovhannes Shiraz:
“A girl’s kiss is worth a life,
Without a woman, without love, there is no life…”
Tigran Sargsyan said he wanted to “congratulate our dear women, our girls and our mothers on this day” with a few lines of poetry.
“And let’s begin our work with a festive mood,” he then said.
In his speech, the PM touched upon issues concerning Armenia’s police, saying “the quality of the services provided by the police likewise has to rise.”
“In particular, on a presidential order, in the coming weeks, we, together with you, will address the processes of vehicle registration and granting drivers’ licenses, where there are serious corruption risks and we are obligated here to ensure transparency, and those state functions which create these corruption risks should be eliminated,” he said.
According to the PM, the government will also turn its attention to the work of the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre. In his words, citizens also have complaints in this sector connected to corruption risks.
