Armenian National Congress (HAK) member, former boxer Samson Khachatryan had a (mild) heart attack this morning in Nubarashen penitentiary, where he is currently being held. This news was conveyed to Epress.am by his son, Sargis Khachatryan.
Recall, Khachatryan was arrested on Mar. 13 and charged under RA Criminal Code Article 316 Section 1 (violence against a representative of the authorities), connected to an incident that took place during the March 1 HAK rally.
Sargis Khachatryan also said that his father’s attorney, finding out about Samson Khachatryan’s condition, said his client is in need of a thorough medical examination, since months ago he underwent serious heart surgery.
Earlier, attorney Ara Zakaryan was at Nubarashen prison, by Samson Khachatryan’s side. As told to Epress.am by HAK press spokesperson Arman Musinyan, at around 3 pm today, there were three doctors outside the prison, who weren’t being allowed in.
