4610 Missing In Action As a Consequence of Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict

As of today, there are an official total of 4610 persons missing in action (MIA) as a consequence of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The International Committee of the Red Cross Armenian Delegation Communications director Zara Amatuni said the latter during a press conference.

According to her, of those missing in action, nearly 800 have been registered from Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

The MIA database is to be complemented with DNA samples and that process has already begun through cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.The database will allow to compare the DNA of those people or corpses that have been found and subsequently, inform the families of those MIA persons.
