Valery Permyakov to Serve Sentence in Armenia: Press

Armenian and Russian prosecutors have reached a final agreement on where Russian soldier Valery Permyakov accused of murdering seven members of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri will serve his sentence, Armenian “Zhoghovurd” daily reported, citing own sources.

Permyakov, the paper wrote, will be held at the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri pending trial and imposition of sentence, after which he will be handed over to the Armenian law enforcement authorities to serve his sentence at one of Armenian prisons.
