Citizens of Armenia prefer to spend their summer holidays in neighboring countries Georgia and Turkey. Though it might be somewhat difficult to present statistics in the case of Georgia (since those vacationing on the shores of the Black Sea rarely use the services of tourist agencies), at least it’s possible to obtain some statistics in Turkey’s case.
Though it’s not always financially viable or desirable for Armenian citizens to make use of the services of tourist agencies, it’s evident that the number of vacationers in Turkey is on the rise.
The pull of colorful ads for this or that country is strong: “A heavenly country, unprecedented low prices”… How resounding are the words and the scenes of summer, and effective in influencing people’s consciousness and sometimes, their subconscious. A number of tourist agencies verified that there was a sharp rise in the number of individuals departing for other countries this year.
According to Bagrat Tours, the number of those departing from other countries is obvious. Those who use the tour company’s services primarily depart for Antalya, particularly since the company specializes in trips to Turkey, though nearly all tourist agencies said the same thing.
Nord-Ost agency stated that if they were to list the places most in demand, they would say Antalya first, Tunis second and Cyprus third.
Despite the fact that Armenia doesn’t have diplomatic relations with Turkey, individuals are nevertheless departing for Antalya and returning content from their trip, since for the amount that they paid, they received high-quality service.
