During today’s government session, the executive expressed its support for the “Clean Homeland” national program. In the government members’ opinion, the need for the project is evident in the country, especially because of the environmental, sanitary situation existing in urban areas. It’s expected that the project will enable improvements in the legislative field, to more effectively implement cleanliness and conservation measures in the surrounding environment, changing the public’s attitude toward the environment.
RA ministries and departments have been commissioned with the task of presenting “Clean Homeland” project events in which they will participate and proposals for acquiring finances related to the project to the Ministry of Nature Protection within 20 days. Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan expressed confidence that everyone understands what problem should be resolved.
