Armenian Citizen in St. Petersburg Fell from 17th Story

An unfortunate incident in the Russian city of St. Petersburg has resulted in the death of one man, while another remains in hospital.

The incident occurred on the premises of a building newly being built, whereby the scaffolding on the 17th floor broke off and two workers fell.

The two workers — both citizens of the Republic of Armenia — were 28-year-old Roman Avdolyan and 30-year-old Arman Stepanyan. Avdolyan died upon impact while Stepanyan was taken to hospital with injuries, reports Fontanka.ru.

Construction company TOP has no yet commented on the incident.

It’s become known since that the Armenian citizens were living illegally in St. Petersburg.
