Russia’s declining activities in the post-Soviet period have begun to become more active in the last two years, which is evidenced by their saving the peoples of Ossetia and Abkhazia from genocide in the Georgian-Ossetian war, as well as extending their contract with Armenia, said political analyst Levon Shirinyan at a press conference today.
According to Shirinyan, usually Russia becomes “active” in Armenia’s territory and becomes “passive” upon leaving Armenia.
Asked whether Russia will fulfill its obligation as Armenia’s military partner, the analyst said, “It will, if the grounds for objective reality don’t change the contract in terms of global development.”
