Court Rejects Opposition’s Appeal

At the RA Administrative Court around 4:20 pm today, Judge Ardzrun Mirzoyan read the court’s ruling on Pan-Armenian National Movement (Armenian National Congress) vs. Yerevan City Hall and city hall authorized representative K. Baghdasaryan. Mirzonyan stated that the court rejected the appeal.

As previously reported, the opposition group was appealing to overturn a Yerevan City Hall decision which denied them from holding a rally in Freedom (Liberty) Square on Sept. 17.

Earlier, opposition representatives had said that if their claim was rejected, they would appeal to all possible bodies, up to and including the European Court.
