If There’s No Cross, It’s Not a Church: Armenian MP on Van’s Holy Cross

The Holy Cross church isn’t opening: if there’s no cross, the church isn’t blessed, that means that the church can’t be a church, said Republican Party of Armenia MP Mkrtich Minasyan at a press conference today, responding to journalists’ questions.

Minasyan said that he completely defends the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin’s decision to not participate in the liturgy.

“We have to not play into Turkey’s hands,” he said.
