Yerevan Metro Not Stopping at Baghramyan Station

Since this morning and until just recently, Yerevan’s underground metro won’t be stopping at Marshal Baghramyan station.

According to our correspondent on-site, passengers have said they can smell smoke and burning rubber passing by Baghramyan station. Our correspondent has confirmed this himself and said that metro staff are working on-site.

At the entrance to the station, directly opposite the National Assembly (the seat of parliament), a crowd of people have gathered.

Responding to a question by Epress.am, Yerevan Metro staff said that at this time they can’t provide any information since “the management has left for the scene.”

Our source at the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that everything is under control and the incident can be considered concluded.

A few moments ago, the metro representative on the scene said that the station will be ventilated sometime today and will resume regular operation later.
