Armenia to Open Embassies in the Netherlands and Japan

During its session today, the Armenian government approved a decision to open embassies in the Netherlands (seat in the Hague) and in Japan (seat in Tokyo).

According to a government-issued press release, the decision is in Armenia’s interest as Georgia and Azerbaijan have their diplomatic missions to these countries, and Japan has ambassadors in Baku and Tbilisi.

The executive has also endorsed the offer to sign an agreement between the governments of Armenia and Italy on lifting visa requirements for individuals with diplomatic passports.
