Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigol Vashadze has proposed to begin a dialogue with Russia to resolve territorial issues and restore neighborly relations between the two countries, RBC reports.
“We support the initiative to resume the negotiating process; however, before that, we call on Moscow to begin the process of liberating Georgia’s occupied territories,” said Vashadze.
Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet commented on the Georgian foreign minister’s statement.
