Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict in the Interest of Arms Dealers: Expert

“I’m ready to believe that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is sincere when he says that he is interested in settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Meanwhile, the same military industrial complex representatives and Lords of War are interested in territorial wars,” said political analyst and expert on Israeli and Russian issues Yuri Bocharov in an interview with Vesti.az.

According to him, it’s no secret that all major arms dealers are interested in prolonging international conflicts and to incite participants to purchase arms in order to obtain military superiority.

“Unfortunately, since there is the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan is going to strive to ‘cooperate’ with Russia and the United States and will be forced to consider their strategic interests,” said Bocharov.

The analyst also noted that Russia, in attempting to prove to Azerbaijan its importance in the region, will be forced to consider its interests in other areas.

“It’s this moment that Azerbaijan should use and solve at least part of its problems,” summarized Bocharov.
