Road Accidents in Armenia Declined, Compared to Last Year: Ohanyan

“If you take into account our eight months of activities, then we’ve succeeded not only last year, but also this year,” said RA Traffic Police Chief Margar Ohanyan, while meeting with journalists today.

According to him, a significant decrease in the number of road accidents is noticeable. In the first eight months of 2010, there have been 1,221 accidents, as a result of which 165 people have died, while 1,677 have received bodily injuries of varying degrees.

Compared to 2009, the number of accidents have decreased by 8, the number of victims by 49 and the number of wounded by 59, which Ohanyan considers to be successful.
