Armenia Must Respond to Turkey’s, Azerbaijan’s Aggressive Policy

The time has come for Armenia to present a corresponding response, said Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Director Hayk Demoyan, speaking on the latest developments regarding the Sept. 19 liturgy at Aghtamar’s Holy Cross Armenian Church and Azerbaijan’s resolution to the UN (which was withdrawn).

“What do we need? To specify that two states having ethno-lingual commonalities develop an aggressive policy against another state, in this case, the Republic of Armenia,” he said.

Demoyan noted that, nevertheless, Turkey assists Azerbaijan in the issue of settling the NKR conflict and considers Azerbaijan a “brother state” not because of ethno-lingual commonalities, but “mainly because Azerbaijan has great energy resources.”
