At 10:15 am on Sept. 17, a call was received that one of the walls of the former “Gyughkimya” (village chemistry) warehouse in the city of Artik in Shirak marz has tilted and is posing a danger to the Gyumri-Artik-Pemzashen railway tracks and the pedestrian path of Artik’s Lmbat district.
Artik’s fire and rescue services, arriving on the scene, determined that the 25m wide by 15m high wall on the warehouse’s eastern front has leaned about 1.5 meters from its original foundation, leaning in the direction of the railroad and pedestrian path.
Artik’s city hall, the railroad management and Gyughkimiya directors have all been informed of the situation, reports Emergency Channel Information Center.
