On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, US President Barack Obama sent a congratulatory note to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
The message is as follows:
“Dear Mr. President, the United States joins you and all Armenians in celebrating Armenia’s Day of Independence, Sept. 21.
“On this occasion, we express our appreciation and respect for the spirit of the Armenian people and their achievements all over the world.
“The United States is proud of the historic ties and friendship between our countries and values the contributions of so many Americans of Armenian ancestry.
We congratulate the people of Armenia on their national day.”
