“Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech was very long. If I begin to talk now, I can speak until evening,” said Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Deputy Chair Razmik Zohrabyan at a press conference today, responding to journalists’ request to comment on the Armenian National Congress (HAK) leader’s speech at last week’s opposition rally.
“Levon said that cooperation with the ruling authorities hasn’t been exhausted. He was placing a precondition to free prisoners [Editor’s note: Ter-Petrosyan said “political prisoners”], extraordinary elections and resignation/change in government. If we give our resignation, who’s he going to dialogue with, it’s incomprehensible,” said the MP.
According to him, dialogue with the current government usually takes place around some program, but dialogue doesn’t happen around resignation and change of government.
