On Sept. 25 at 3 pm, Belgian filmmaker Marian Handwerker with screen his film André Gorz, followed by a discussion, as part of a series of events called “Utopian Encounters” taking place in Moscow House from Sept. 25–26.
On the same day, a meeting-debate is planned to take place with well-known sociologist and philosopher Maurizio Lazzarato, who will be speaking on the topic of “Economic poverty and the poverty of subjectivism in neoliberalism.”
The following day, on Sept. 26, Assemblages (62 min.), an audiovisual research project by Maurizio Lazzarato and Angela Melitopoulos, will be screened, which likewise will be followed by a discussion-debate with the artists.
Lazzarato and Melitopoulos will present their research on philosopher and psychologist Félix Guattari, his revolutionary psychotherapy practice and political activism, as well as his thoughts on ecosophy and his interest in animism, particularly in the Brazilian and Japanese context.
Angela Melitopoulos will also screen her 33-min video essay The Language of Things.
The meetings will take place in French with simultaneous translation in Armenian.
