On Oct. 13, the Armenian National Congress (HAK) will hold its rally in Freedom (Liberty) Square, said HAK representative Tigran Arakelyan to Epress.am today.
According to him, the deadline for approving a decision by Yerevan City Hall regarding HAK’s Sept. 24 request for a permit expired at 9:15 am on Sept. 27.
“Since the 72-hour period for considering the notice expired, and perhaps the City Hall authoritative body hasn’t made a decision, then according to Section 8 of Article 12 of the Law on Conducting Meetings, Rallies, Marches, and Demonstrations, the party who submitted the notice can consider that city hall has approved its knowledge of it,” said Arakelyan.
