Armenia’s Most Important Game in World Chess Olympiad Today

After losing to Azerbaijan on Sept. 28 in Round 7 of the 2010 World Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, the Armenian team has fallen back with 4 teams leading Armenia in the standings.

Ukraine, with 13 points, is leading the pack, while Hungary, Azerbaijan and Russia’s first team have 12 points each. Armenia, along with 6 other teams, has 11 points.

Armenia’s skill will be tested against the team from Poland today. If Armenia loses this game, it’ll be deprived of any chance of winning the champion title.
