Bahçeli Would Like his Wishes Respected

According to Turkish news source Milliyet, US representatives have met with leader of Turkey’s Nationalist Movement Party Devlet Bahçeli and attempted to find out why he wants to pray namaz (or salat) in a Christian church (the Cathedral of Ani, to be specific).

Bahçeli, in response, said, “We respected the Christian liturgies in Aghtamar and Sumela, and our wishes must also be respected.”
