Oskanian Not in Rome, Yerevan Not in Negotiations with Ankara

At a meeting of the Sardarapat Movement today, member Tigran Khzmalyan spoke of secret Armenia-Turkey negotiations that he says are taking place in Rome with the participation of former RA high-level officials Vartan Oskanian and Gerard Libaridian.

Epress.am contacted RA Minister of Foreign Affairs press spokesperson Tigran Balayan, asking whether the ministry is aware of such talks.

“There are no official negotiations taking place between Armenia and Turkey,” said Balayan.

Civilitas Foundation Communications Coordinator Anna Saghabalyan, in speaking to Epress.am, said that Vartan Oskanian is currently in Yerevan.

“Vartan Oskanian has not left the country in the last month,” she said.
