European Officials Made a Deal with RA Authorities: Sakunts

We have numerously stated that the Council of Europe did not adequately demonstrate its attitude in the non-compliance of of the Republic of Armenia’s obligations, said the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly – Vanadzor office (HCAV) President Arthur Sakunts, while speaking to journalists today. 

“It’s true, quite harsh, but once more I want to say that I believe that members conducting monitoring in Armenia have made a deal with RA authorities and given them a carte blanche,” he said. 

Asked by journalists what has the Republic of Armenia given specifically, Sakunts said, “RA gave its independence, its sovereignty.”
