Why Can Armenian Aliyev and Jewish Mammadyarov Hold High Positions in Azerbaijan?

Ethnically Armenian Aliyev and ethnically Jewish Mammadyarov can have high positions in Armenia but an Armenian man can’t put forth his candidacy for member of parliament? asked Assembly of Azerbaijani Armenians President Grigory Ayvazyan at a press conference in Yerevan today. 

Saying that Azerbaijan’s president and foreign minister have mixed ethnicity, Ayvazyan said if the Azerbaijani authorities don’t satisfy the written request, made in the name of one million Azerbaijani Armenians, to allow Ayvazyan to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan will once again reveal its face before the international community.
