Analyst: If $2 Billion is Being Spent on Azerbaijan’s Army…

At the upcoming OSCE summit in Astana, the organization will be forced to recognize the futility of the Minsk Group and to declare which party hinders the resolution of the conflict, said Azerbaijani political analyst Rasim Musabekov.

Azerbaijan, in his opinion, would have to draw conclusions about the absolute futility of the peace efforts and find solutions to the problem, relying on internal capabilities, including force.

“I think that when there is an army, and 2 billion dollars are spent on strengthening its defense, it’s not done to have parades… If the army isn’t going to be used to liberate our own occupied territories, then it’s not clear what it’s needed for,” said the analyst, according to the Journal of the Caucasus website.
