Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, according to the president’s official website, sent a congratulatory message to King of Spain Juan Carlos I on the occasion of Spain’s National Holiday.
The message states:
“Your Majesty,
“On behalf of the people of Armenia and my own behalf, I congratulate You and friendly people of the Kingdom of Spain with National Holiday.
“Armenia attaches importance to cooperation with Spain and it is evidenced by the opening of the Embassy of Armenia in Madrid last August. I hope that Spain too will open a diplomatic representation in Armenia, which will promote development and expansion of the relations between two friendly states for the benefit of the Armenian and Spanish peoples.
“Please accept, Your Majesty, by best wishes for peace, progress and prosperity to You and friendly people of Spain.”
