Karekin II Asked to Postpone Georgia Visit

A visit by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, to Georgia has been postponed, says the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin press service.

“An application was made to Etchmiadzin by the Georgian Orthodox Church Patriarchate to postpone His Holiness Karekin II’s Oct. 23–28 inter-church and pastoral visit to Georgia to the second half of November.

“His Holiness has accepted the proposed request and the visit is planned to take place in November,” reds the release.
