Heritage Party MP and member of the Armenian delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Zaruhi Postanjyan was surprised by Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun, ARF-D) Supreme Body member, PACE Armenian delegation member Armen Rustamyan’s participation in her petition which refers to the issue of freedom of the press in Armenia.
Postanjyan said this herself at a press conference today, adding that though the ARF-D constantly used to say that they weren’t in power, none of their actions substantiated this claim.
“I was very surprised by Mr. Rustamyan’s behavior,” she said, adding that the ruling Republican Party of Armenia members of Armenia’s PACE delegation didn’t join the petition and no justification has been presented.
“They said, we can’t sign it,” she said.
