The Socialist International (SI) meeting in Baku took place in an unexpected atmosphere, said Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun, or ARF-D) Armenian Cause Bureau Director Kiro Manoyan, who was representing ARF-D at the Baku meeting, and ARF-D Bureau member Mario Nalpantian, at a press conference today.
According to them, the Nagorno-Karabakh issue was discussed rather thoroughly.
The ARF-D representatives also noted that a SI Council meeting will take place in Paris November 15–16, in which SI member states from around the world will be participating. A document on Nagorno-Karabakh will be proposed at the Paris meeting that if adopted, will be the resolution approved by all socialists in the organization.
Manoyan and Nalpantian noted that, as a political party, they are pleased with the results of the meeting.
