Russian-Armenian ballerina Karina Sarkissova, dismissed from the Vienna State Opera as a result of nude photos published in a magazine, has been allowed to return to the opera’s ballet company.
The theater’s management, after a conversation with the artist, reversed their earlier decision, according to kp.ru, as well as other Russian media.
Sarkissova promised that she never intended to damage the reputation of the Vienna State Opera; however, she is happy that she is able to dance once again.
Recall that the ballet company of the Vienna Opera fired Sarkissova over a series of risque pictures that appeared in the Austrian men’s fashion and lifestyle magazine Wiener.
