People’s Artist of the Soviet Union, Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, 75, who was taken to hospital days earlier, won over the entire staff of the clinic, reports Lifenews. The famous actor flatly refused any privileges — including the option of having his food brought to him.
Dzhigarkhanyan was taken to a regular city hospital a few days ago, as a result of complaints of shortness of breath. After examining him, doctors decided that he should be admitted to hospital.
It’s been a few days, but the actor, despite health concerns, does not tire of entertaining medical staff and other patients.
“They scare me here. They say if this happens again, I may not be able to wake up. I can’t sleep at night, I can’t breathe. My breathing is constrained and my body is not absorbing oxygen,” he says and then suddenly jokes: “They are so good!”
Dzhigarkhanyan has become the joy of the hospital staff and other patients — everyone is talking about the famous guest. Earlier, when his meal was brought to him (as a VIP guest), he said:
“What, am I disabled? I will go to the cafeteria just like all the other patients. I am a People’s Artist and I will eat with the people,” he said.
