Armenia, Turkey Prosecutors to Cooperate in Fight Against Crime

RA General Prosecutor Aghvan Hovsepyan today met privately with public prosecutors of the Court of Cassation of Turkey Ahmet Tasyurt and Omer Yanar. During the meeting, they placed importance on cooperation in the fight against crime and the establishment of good relations between the two countries, according to an official release by Armenia’s General Prosecutor’s office. 

Hovsepyan hoped that direct personal contacts would contribute to the development of cooperation between the two countries.

Armenia’s general prosecutor also had a meeting with Harald Range, the prosecutor of Celle, the Federal Republic of Germany, during which issues of cooperation were discussed.

The delegates of Germany and Turkey have come to Armenia to participate in the 5th Plenary Meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors held in Yerevan from Oct. 19–21.
