The delegation led by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan left for the Russian city of Astrakhan today, where a trilateral meeting between the presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia is planned. Also expected is a meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
A tour around Volga River is also planned, as well as meetings with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov and Russian Presidential Aide Sergei Prikhodko.
The Armenian delegation will also include RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, Deputy Chief of Staff to the RA President Vigen Sargsyan and RA Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan.
At Astrakhan’s Narimanovo airport, the Armenian president’s delegation will be greeted by Astrakhan state governor Alexander Zhilkin, Astrakhan city mayor Sergei Bozhenov and other officials, according to various local Armenian media.
Serzh Sargsyan, along with the pastor of the St. Hripsime Armenian Church, local authorities and Armenian community representatives, will visit the Armenian monument in the city center and place a wreath at the monument-khatchkar (cross-stone).
