In the World Chess Federation (FIDE) Top 100 Players list published today, Grandmaster Levon Aronian, representing Armenia, is in third place. With a rating of 2,801, Aronian has obviously passed the 2,800 rating mark.
Ahead of him by only one point is Magnus Carlsen (Norway) and topping the list with a rating of 2,804 is Viswanathan Anand (India).
Trailing 10 points behind Aronian is Vladimir Kramnik (Russia).
Other players representing Armenia who made the top-100 list include Gabriel Sargissian, coming in at 76th place with a rating of 2,667; and Vladimir Akopian, at 65th place with a rating of 2,675.
Sergei Movsesian, representing Slovakia, came in at 24th place with a rating of 2,721.
