According to preliminary data, there are no citizens of the Republic of Armenia among those injured in the attack in İstanbul early Sunday, which was suspected to be the work of a suicide bomber.
This news was conveyed to Epress.am by RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs press spokesperson Tigran Balayan.
Recall that at last count, there were 32 injured (15 police officers and 17 civilians) in the attack in İstanbul’s central Taksim Square.
Though no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, a senior security officer in western Turkey told Reuters that the attack “appears to have the signature of the PKK.”
