Cheese is Loved by People and Mice: Armenian Politician on a Tangent

“Cheese is a food item that is mainly loved by people and mice,” said United Labor Party of Armenia leader Gurgen Arsenyan, speaking to journalists today.

Asked by a journalist what is his opinion of the recent price hikes of local Armenian cheese, Arsenyan began to describe what sort of thing is cheese.

“It is a food item, with references to historical documents, long used in the life of the Armenian people; I can’t recall [whether] Xenophon wrote about that or not. In any case, it is used, was used and continues to be used in our cuisine. All this about cheese,” he said.
