Prosperous Armenia Expects 99.9% of Votes in Parliamentary Elections

During the 2012 parliamentary elections, the fight is going to be for the constituent’s vote and not between ideologies or between political parties, said United Labor Party of Armenia leader Gurgen Arsenyan at a press conference today.

“One must be quite cautious in political processes. One scandal being revealed is enough, and this or that political party’s rating can fall sharply,” he said.

“The Prosperous Armenia party [PHK] has a high rating, we are expecting the majority of votes during elections, and, let me say, related to the expectation of PHK’s known 50+1 [majority] votes, it’s not that we want to receive 50+1 percent votes, but 99.9%,” said PHK MP Vardan Bostanjyan in response.
