On Monday evening police officers arrested 26 citizens of Turkmenistan and Armenia, who after a quarrel between a few of their compatriots had intended to solve the arguement in a big brawl on the outskirts of the Russian city of Stavropol, RIA Novosti reports, citing sources in the regional law enforcement agencies.
According to a source, about 70 people aged 20 to 25 years (20 Armenians and 50 Turkmen) gathered that evening on the outskirts of Stavropol and behaved aggressively. In order to prevent violence, police had to arrest 26 men. Sixty police officers were involved in the operation.
