At the demonstration in front of the RA Government building in central Yerevan today, a few protestors were demanding the release of imprisoned journalist, chief editor of Haykakan Jamanak (“Armenian Times”) Nikol Pashinyan.
Participating in the protest were Armenian National Congress activist Areg Gevorgyan and former political prisoner Vardges Gaspari.
Gevorgyan told Epress.am that they are demanding Pashinyan’s immediate release, otherwise “the people’s revenge will be brutal.”
As for Gaspari, in a conversation with Epress.am recently, he had said that he had nothing to say.
“Address Nikol, demand a meeting with him, let him say what he has to say,” said Gaspari.
However, when RA Minister of Justice Gevorg Danielyan left the government building today, Gaspari came after him all the way up to his car, calling out accusations: “Murderer,” “Criminal,” [Keep] “Your Bloody Hands Off of Nikol.”
Without responding to the accusations, Danielyan sat in his car and drove off.
